During the current Pandemic some of the clinics and medical services we usually offer to our community have been suspended.

At certain times we also offer specialist clinics or vaccination programmes in accordance with NHS directives. You can check our latest news on the homepage for information on those.

 
 

Sexual Health & Contraception Advice
Appointments may be arranged with the doctor for factual information, advice or treatment on all aspects of family planning and sexual health (including the morning after pill), cervical smears and sexually transmitted infections.

We offer contraception advice and check ups. Emergency contraception advice is available. Please seek assistance without delay.

Family Planning Clinics are also available in Bangor Community Hospital, Ards Community Hospital, Holywood Health and Care Centre. See the links page for more information.


Treatment Room Services
Our Practice Nurse and our Healthcare Assistant provide treatment room services such as; Blood Testing, Urine Testing, Dressings, BP Monitoring, Travel advice and vaccinations and management of conditions such as asthma, coronary heart disease and diabetes.


Asthma/COPD Care
Diagnosis and monitoring treatments.


Diabetes Care
Monitoring of treatment and screening for complications.


Child Immunisation Clinic
Held by Heidi Knox every Tuesday afternoon.


Cervical Screening
Recommended for female patients aged 25 to 65.

Minor Surgery (suspended)
Such as joint injections, removal of warts, excisions of skin tags and moles and aspirations of joints.


New Patient Check Up (suspended)
New patients registering with Green Road Medical Practice must have a Health Check. These checks are free of charge and enable the doctors and nurses to assess and monitor your health needs and offer appropriate treatments. Please make an appointment with our nurses.


Antenatal Care
Clinic held by our community midwife Pauline Irvine every Thursday morning. Pauline will assist in caring for patients during pregnancy and in the early days after delivery.


Help with smoking cessation (suspended)
Want to stop smoking? We offer a stop smoking support service which is run by our Healthcare Assistant. We can offer support and advice to help you quit. This service is available to both regular and walk-in patients.


Help with weight loss/dieting (suspended)
Advice and support to get and stay healthy, whether you have a long term condition or you need general advice.
